The auditorium is all jammed packed. In a crowd of hundreds of people, you hear your name being called out on the stage. You firmly stand-up and start marching forward. The moment you climb at the staircase and avert back to the audience your heart skips a beat. A drop of perspiration dribbles down your temple as you see all the eyes ogling at you and waiting for you to speak. The stage is yours now- either make it or break it.
What you just read is not the story of one in a million people but of most of us. We often feel intimidated when asked to deliver a speech or give day-to-day presentations. Sometimes our nervousness and anxiety make us forget everything that we prepared the night before leaving our mind paralyzed and our confidence swinging like a pendulum. Situations like these make us look unprepared or leave behind an impression that what we are saying is not authentic enough. So what to do in such situations? How to overcome the fear of addressing the public? And how to muster the courage to deliver our content with full confidence. Well, the key to this is to confront your fear! If any of the influential personalities, who once got nervous, did not confront their fear they would have left no legacies behind. Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States avoided public speaking and made excuses to be relieved off this duty. He fought with his fear by addressing the public with his simple yet strong messages that reached masses. Rowan Atkinson, commonly known as Mr. Bean actor had a massive stage fright and had to over-pronounce his words to concentrate and make a name for himself. Bruce Wills, a born stutter, had to work diligently to over this fear and pave his pay to become an A-list Actor.
All these great personalities opted for different ways to overcome their fears but they all had one thing in abundance- Confidence. They all believed in themselves and worked arduously to make sure their message reaches beyond borders. And, to make sure that your voice is also heard by thousands of people, we have launched our premium program Impact to help you become a fearless public speaker and to make sure you confidently tip the odds in your favor while delivering your desired.
