The journey for Moeen started after his travel from Multan to Karachi, when he wandered, clueless, inside the School of Leadership office willing to attend the conference he had long-held expectations for, to travel towards his destination in the capital city of Sindh. All that nervousness of not knowing anyone in a city that was strange to him, turned into excitement when he saw like-minded individuals, waiting to steer all that energy they brought with them towards the 3-day journey that had promised to be a game-changer and bring about a positive change within themselves and the society.
Often, children belonging to the 10-15 year age bracket are being asked questions like, “What do you wish to be when you grow up?”, “Where do you want to go to college?”, ”What subject would you major in?” or “What are you good at?” They might find themselves at crossroads, when the question, “What am I doing with my life?” emerges. This is where Junior Leaders Conference comes in. JLC is unlike any conference you have experienced before, an adventurous and exciting program for kids that aims to combine experts from fields who would inspire with talks on leadership, skill development and ideas in addition to providing networking opportunities, all of that with unlimited fun! It is a platform where kids learn to recognize that they are in a position of incredible power, having the ability to ask themselves empowering questions like, “Who am I?” and “Who do I want to become?” Imagine having the freedom and power to think of choosing to become anything that they want to become! Gluco Ki enables an individual to learn respect, embrace a sense of responsibility and learn to be part of the solution, not the problem.
Since the past 7 years, JLC has been playing a significant role of a “nut cracker” by opening up closed minds and influencing lives of many young individuals, imparting the confidence and exposure that they need to succeed. Entering in its 8th year, JLC promises of going BIGGER! English Biscuit Manufacturers and their brand GLUCO has again taken up for the 3rd time, the conference will be themed, “GLUCO KI JLC – I AM ALIVE”. GLUCO KI JLC promises to give kids the freedom to explore, learn and grow. The 3-day Conference has an original and innovative theme for each day:
‘Dream’ – encouraging children to use their imaginations and dream big
‘Dare’ – giving them the skills and attitude they need to achieve their dreams
‘Do’– teaching them to take initiative and become responsible young adults.
